The Moonee Valley Legal Service hosted a multiagency stakeholder forum. The forum was centred around the provision of NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) related services and the proposal of a MVLS NDIS specific legal service.

MVLS have been exploring the need for an NDIS legal clinic to assist with issues such as: access, planning and service complaints.

The discussions were had around the scope for community education and community legal education delivery amongst stakeholders.

Through discussions with other advocacy groups, community members and other stakeholders, it became clear that the existing networks would benefit from the opportunity to workshop referral pathways, increase knowledge of other services available, and identify any gaps in services.

The forum identified the need for a more coordinated effort between community groups and organisations.

Moonee Valley Legal Service are committed to consult and collaborate with stakeholders and clients to ensure that we can deliver a holistic NDIS specific legal service.
